Our Worksop Mobile Planetarium serves Worksop and the surrounding area of Nottinghamshire.

The mobile planetarium can be easily transported and set up in a school or church hall. The specialised equipment inside the dome then enables the presenter to deliver incredible 360-degree shows that teach the visitors all about the wonders of space. The images are projected via a spherical mirror on to the inside of the dome which gives the visitors an incredible fully immersive experience.

Worksop Mobile Planetarium

We have a wide range of shows in the Worksop Mobile Planetarium that accommodate the needs of all our visitors. We have shows designed for children just starting out in school, to those in primary, secondary and special needs provision. We also cater for scouting organisations and adults. We have shows that cover all the main topics such as the planets, the sun and moon, our solar system, space travel and astronomy. As part of the astronomy show, we teach our visitors how to identify constellations which is very popular.

We can be booked to deliver our planetarium shows for either a half or full day depending on your individual requirements. The length of the shows can also be adjusted to fit in with busy schedules of the day. Typically we can deliver 3 or 4 shows during a morning or afternoon session. Groups of up to 30 visitors at a time come into to the dome.

We have received lots of great feedback from schools who said they liked the simplicity of having the planetarium come to them and that the presenter was so great at interacting with the children and sharing their extensive knowledge. Teachers enjoy booking the planetarium as it creates the wow factor for their space topic and also provides fantastic value for money.
