What to expect from a WonderDome visit

Below is a clear overview of the WonderDome environment. We hope understanding what will happen before the day will help reduce any anxiety. Please contact us if you would like to understand more.

The dome environment

  • The dome is an enclosed, inflatable dome-shaped tent.
  • Lighting is low once the show begins.
  • The space is dark to allow stars and visuals to be seen clearly.
  • Images move slowly across the dome ceiling
  • There are no flashin or strobe lights

Sound

  • The Presenter speaks clearly and calmly
  • Sounds levels are kept at a reasonable volume
  • Sudden loud noises are avoided
  • You are welcome to wear ear defenders or headphones

Movement & visuals

  • There are no jump scares or unexpexted effects

Seating and space

  • Children sit or lie on the floor inside the WonderDome
  • You can site where you feel most comfortable
  • Children may sit with a familiar adult if preferred
