Wonder Awards 2024 – Terms and Conditions

 

  1. Award Name: Wonder Awards 2024
  2. Organiser: WonderDome
  3. Purpose: The Wonder Awards 2024 aim to reward schools in the UK that demonstrate exceptional support for inclusivity and diversity in space-related learning.
  4. Eligibility:
    • Nominees must be schools located in the United Kingdom.
    • Nominees must grant permission for WonderDome to use the school’s name for promotional and advertising purposes, including the use of photos for promotional materials while adhering to safeguarding regulations.
  5. Nomination Deadline: Nominations must be submitted by 13 December 2024, 23:59 GMT.
  6. Winners Announcement: Winners will be announced by 13 January 2025. The award must be redeemed by the end of the current academic year.
  7. Submission Method: Nominations should be submitted online through wonderdome.co.uk using the provided nomination form.
  8. Nomination Fees: There are no costs or fees associated with the nomination process.
  9. Nomination Process: Nominees should simply complete and submit the online nomination form.
  10. Review Panel: A panel of WonderDome employees, including individuals with previous teaching, science communication, and presenting experience, will review each nomination.
  11. Multiple Nominations: Multiple nominations received and the detail provided will be considered in the review process.
  12. Appeals: There is no appeal process for the panel’s decision.
  13. Notification: Winners will be notified by 13 January 2025. Both the nominated school and the person who submitted the nomination will be contacted.
  14. Criteria: Nominees should demonstrate their exceptional efforts to promote access and motivation for pupils to learn and study space-themed topics.
  15. Awards:
    • Three Wonder Awards will be granted, with each winning school receiving a free full-day WonderDome visit.
    • The school will receive an award certificate to display.
    • An Exceptional Wonder Award will be granted, with the winner receiving the same as the Wonder Award, plus a £200 Amazon voucher to spend on space-related resources for the school.
  16. Award Utilisation: Award winners may use the full-day WonderDome visit as they see fit. There is no monetary alternative. The school must ensure a suitable venue for the WonderDome visit.
  17. Disqualification: WonderDome reserves the right to disqualify nominations that do not adhere to these terms and conditions.
  18. Review Panel Decision: The decision of the review panel is final, and no disputes will be entertained unless a violation of these terms and conditions is found.
  19. Data Protection: All data entered on the nomination form will be handled in accordance with WonderDome’s current privacy policy.
  20. Acceptance Form: Award acceptance requires the nominated school to sign an award acceptance form, confirming their agreement to these terms and conditions and ensuring the protection of data and privacy.
